The teacher believes his family has something to do with it. Directed by Alex Proyas. Starring Nicolas Cage, Chandler Canterbury, and Rose Byrne.

Knowing was created during a time when disaster films were "in". Of course, that doesn't mean this one should be disregarded. Actually, it is rated highly amongst viewers. Read some quotes from the movie below.

John Koestler: Stay with me. I know how this sounds, but I've mapped these numbers to the dates of every major global disaster from the last 50 years in perfect sequence. Earthquakes, fires, tsunamis... The next number on the chain predicts that tomorrow, somewhere on the planet, 81 people are going to die, in some kind of tragedy.
Phil Bergman: Whoa. Just step back. Have another look at it! Systems that find meaning in numbers are a dime in dozen. Why? Because people see what they want to see.
Diana Whelan: What happens when the numbers run out?
John Koestler: Its been buried in the ground for five decades.
John Koestler: The numbers are the key... to everything.
John Koestler: Why hasn't this intersection been sealed off?
Security guard: Excuse me?
John Koestler: I said why hasn't this intersection been sealed off? Didn't you get the tip-off?
Security guard: Sir, sir! Please calm down. Believe me we will get this matter taken care of.
John Koestler: The theory of randomness says it's all simply coincidence. There is no grand meaning.
Caleb Koestler: I can't consume that. I've decided to become a vegetarian.
John Koestler: Well, when were you planning on telling the guy who buys the groceries around here?
Caleb Koestler: Are you deaf? I just told you now, Dad.
John Koestler: I am the son of a pastor.
John Koestler: I keep seeing their faces... burning.
Rev. Koestler: [hugging John] This isn't the end, son.
John Koestler: I know.
