Quotations from Grey's Anatomy
"Grey's Anatomy" is a television medical drama that began airing in 2005. The series has been the highest-rated drama in the United States for much of its history and has won numerous awards. The series follows the lives of surgical interns and residents of Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital. At the beginning of the series, each season represented one academic year for the physicians. During the following season, each physician was qualified for a higher level of the surgical field.
Dr. Cristina Yang: Do we have to do that thing, where I say something, and then you say something, and then somebody cries and there's like a moment?
Dr. Meredith Grey: Yuck.
Dr. Cristina Yang: Good.
Dr. Preston Burke: The only one that can keep a promise like that is God, and I haven't seen him holding a scalpel lately. You never promise a patient's family a good outcome.
Devo Friedman: You don't believe in anything.
Dr. Alex Karev: My mother used to pray to Saint Jude for me.
Devo Friedman: How appropriate. Patron saint of lost causes.
Mr. Duff: Hello! They're not seizures, they're visions. I'm psychic.
Dr. Cristina Yang: Of course you are. And I'm a chicken.
Dr. Cristina Yang: Uh, Dr. Webber. Sir?
Dr. Richard Webber: Notice anything else about that leg? Anything other than that very clean cut? Did you happen to notice, for example, that it was shaved recently? And manicured? Take a look at my patient, Dr. Yang! Does he look like a man who woke up and shaved one of his legs this morning?
Dr. George O'Malley: Does that mean he picked her?
Dr. Cristina Yang: If it does I just lost 50 bucks.
Dr. Meredith Grey: I'm dating.
[looks down at coffee from Derek and cake from Finn]
Dr. Meredith Grey: And it comes with snacks.
Dr. Meredith Grey: McSteamy! Woohoo!
Dr. Mark Sloan: McSteamy? Is that what you're calling me?
Dr. Meredith Grey: I don't think you're supposed to know that.
Dr. Mark Sloan: How's my favorite dirty mistress?
Dr. Meredith Grey: I'm an adulterous whore now...
Dr. George O'Malley: Why did she do this to herself?
Dr. Miranda Bailey: Cause people are stupid and just want to be loved. That's the only reason anybody does anything.
Meredith Grey: In life only one thing is certain, besides death and taxes... No matter how hard we try, No matter how good our intentions, We are going to make mistakes. We are going to hurt people. We are going to get hurt. And if you're ever going to recover, There's only one thing to say. Forgive and forget. That's what they say. It's good advice, but it's not very practical. When someone hurts us, We want to hurt them back. When someone wrongs us, We want to be right. Without forgiveness, nothing is ever settled. Hurts never heal. And the most we can hope for... Is to forget.
