The Usual Suspects is a mystery crime drama film about a crippled man with immunity who was involved in a large drug smuggling crime and is being investigated by the police. The film follows Verbal Kint as he gives his re-tells his statement to an agent and adds a few extra details once the agent pushes him to do so. The movie is about a group of men who are talked into doing a crime by Kobayashi after he threatened the death of their loved ones. Directed by Bryan Singer. Starring Kevin Spacey, Kevin Pollak, and Stephen Baldwin.
The Usual Suspects won two Oscar awards in the categories Best Supporting Actor (Spacey) and Best Writing. I'm not exactly sure why Spacey is listed as a supporting character, since the entire film is about him, but who knows. Anyway, the film was well received by critics and had some financial success at the box office. Keaton: Yeah.
Verbal: Roger, really. People say I talk too much.
Hockney: Yeah, I was just gonna tell you to shut up.
Keaton: This whole thing was a shakedown.
McManus: What makes you say that?
Keaton: How many times you been in a lineup? It's always you and four dummies. PD pays homeless guys ten bucks a head sometimes.
Verbal: After that my guess is that you will never hear from him again. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he did not exist. And like that... he is gone.
