Platoon is an action war-drama about a young recruit who is faced with the horrors of war in Vietnam. The film follows the life of Chris Taylor (Charlie Sheen) who dropped out of college to fight in Vietnam. Shortly after being assigned to the country, he faces the death of a fellow new recruit along with another soldier who was killed by friendly fire. The movie continues with the use of drugs, brutality, and other horrors of war. Directed by Oliver Stone. Starring Charlie Sheen, William Defoe, Forest Whitaker, and Tom Berrenger.
