"Star Trek: The Next Generation" is a television sci-fi series that is part of the Star Trek franchise. The show is set in the 24th century, 100 years after the original series. It takes place aboard the starship Enterprise. At the beginning of each episode, a voice-over introduces the starship and its purpose. The series began on September 28,1987 and ended on May 23, 1994 for a total of 178 episodes. "Star Trek The Next Generation" also has four films.
