The Wrestler is a romantic sports drama film about a wrestler who is forced to retire and find himself work and a new life outside of the ring. The film follows the life of Robin Randzowski as he attempts to cling onto his wrestling past, but when he suffers a heart attack, he's told he can no longer do just that. Now, the faded star has to find himself a new life. He starts work as a deli-man at a supermarket. During this time, he tries to get back in touch with his estranged daughter and get a new relationship started. As well, he's attempting to get with a stripper. Directed by Darren Aronofsky. Starring Mickey Rourke, Marisa Tomei, and Evan Rachel Wood.

The Wrestler received critical acclaim and went on to have great financial success. The movie was nominated for two Oscar awards, including Best Actor (Rourke) and Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Tomei).
