Quotations from The Uninvited
The Uninvited is a mystery horror drama film about a young woman who returns home from a mental hospital and is confronted with problems from her cruel stepmother and a ghost. The film follows Anna Rydell as she is discharged from a psychiatric institution after being admitted from a suicide attempt after her mother died in a boathouse fire. Once she returns home, she confronts her father about her step-mother since she was her mother's live-in nurse and her father would sleep with her while her mother was ill. Directed by The Guard Brothers. Starring Emily Browning, Arielle Kebbel, Elizabeth Banks, David Strathairn, and Jesse Moss. Based on the South Korean film "A Tale of Two Sisters".
The Uninvited received mostly negative films upon its release. The film was a financial success at the box office. Honestly, I love the South Korean film much better. It's more scary and has more suspense. Continue reading for more The Uninvited quotes.
Anna Rydell: Why can't I remember that night?
You lost your mother and father in a fire. Maybe it isn't such a bad thing to forget.
Steven: Anna, I'm sorry I meant to tell you about Rachael.
Rachael: Listen Anna, I know you're suppose to hate dad's new girlfriend, but I'm really hoping we can make this work.
Anna: Alex, I had a dream. There were children. I think they were trying to warn us.
Steven: I need you to figure out if you are ready to be part of this family.
Rachael: You know Anna, I don't think this is going to work out.
