writers block

Category: Personal diary

ok I got it bad and yeah sure this is writing but this is just what's on my mind writing...lol yes that's poetry but whenever I try to do that I never get past the first two lines......sad.
I've had writer's block for months!!! Yeah I posted two poems recently but that was from my paranoia state so obviously it means something major has to happen in my life for me to be a blue to write...before I could just write about anything I felt like but not now.
SO I need some solid advice on how to get over. Please don't give me any crappy remedies that I probably already seen on google, I need some for real stuff. I mean what you did to get over yours, those kind of stuff. Please help, I miss writing, I might not have been awesome at it but it was my thing you know, people knew as the poet..now I'm just...well...i dunno :(

do something new. adventure into the land of fresh experience and then take that and put it on paper

or get some acid and hookers and let the talking pirate vagina inspire

Maybe try to write something that is not of your usual style...you never know where that will lead.
It may get the juices flowing and turn into something unexpected.
Once you get beyond it, the writing will just flow like water. PrettyOdd is right, just write.

prettyodd is right. theres really not much that u can do in this sort of situation. i have had writers blocks for awhile now also, and i didnt know what do at at first either! but i am just gonna try every once and awhile and wait for it to be gone. at first i thought that i was just losing my "talent" (lol, ya, right) but im pretty sure that its just writers block. i think we can all say that we feel your pain! sorry this didn't help, haha Sticking tongue out

I usually just start writing something based on one subject and even if I dont like the poem at all I post it anyway. I check the comments to either see what I could work on or get inspired or more confident by what they say. Then when I get my creativity back if I still hate the poem, I delete it. Smiley Anything to get out of that hole.

Well, you can't really force creativity. If I were you, I'd just wait a bit. It might be a little frustrating, but once that inspiration hits, you're going to think of something amazing.
Or you could just write. You don't have to post it, but if you just write out "stuff", it might help you.
I know it's kind of crap advice, but it's all I got.

I've been stuck in my creativity hole for a while now.... I find that banging your head against the proverbial wall of doubt and denial really works out at times like this. Nothing does that like royaly screwing up your life like I have.....
I have a feeling I have a lot more poems coming now.

So Fuck your life up really badly.... I find that works the best.

When I had writer's block a while ago I used one of my dyslexia study techniques to help me get over it. Basically your brain likes colours, and because lines on lined paper distract your subconscious, if you get plain coloured paper, pick a random topic or object and start to map out a spiral of things, in different coloured pens, that relate to that object or feeling or whatever...then when you have the image built up in your mind, pick up your pen and try to write something. It doesnt always work the first time but I find that it's helped me a lot over the years.
