POQ is full of GENIUSES!

Category: Personal diary

Ok so hi I'm glad you decided to read this. Well I got some English homework and I'm almost done I just need help with three.
Ok so I hope you can help me.

Well we had to match words to synomyms or something like that. Yes it is easy except I don't have a clue what three of the words mean so I don't know the synomyms that's where you guys come in.
This is what i did already, let me know if there's something wrong :

demolished =-= pulled down
shifted =-= moved
reluctant =-= unwilling
determined =-= intent on
transform =-= change
abandoned =-= neglected
sentimental =-= full of feeling

now the words i couldn't figure out. and the meanings in no particular order at all.

wistfully ----- with sadness
supple ----- easily
expressly ----- for the sole purpose

ok so can you guys help?
thanks so much in advance

What? I don't understand what you're asking. If you need to know the defenitions, look them up in a dictionary or use one online. And if what you're asking is to match the synonyms, as far as I can tell, they are already matched up.

I think wistfully is more expecting of sadness rather than already sad.
And supple means flexible or lithe.
Anyway, hope that helps a bit!. It might not because i've no idea what a synonym is!!

Go to Dictionary.com.
Serious, it helps.
I do agree with Roseonfire, however.

I hate to disagree with popular opinion but supple really doesn't mean easily.
I guess fade is right though, the simplest thing to do would be to look it up.
But if you don't bother to, you really shouldn't put easily as the definition, coz that's wrong.

Yeah, what you have is right.

Monkeyboy, you're right. It doesn't mean "easily". Basically it can't. Supple is an adjective; easily is an adverb.

But, I guess those are the words the professor gave and the only ones friendZdogZ has to work with, unless there was a typo or something. The remainder of the words are right, otherwise.

oh yea i had left out something. it wasn't just easily. it was easily bent
