Like Glue

Sally was a girl who you’d call unpopular. Most people don’t talk to her because she scares them. Sally was only a teen and yet she’d done things most girls her age wouldn’t. The things she did are unspeakable which is why I mentioned them now.

Ria lives in a whole different country and she is totally different, she has big problems like everyone else, the only difference is that she always manages to keep a smile on her face. No one knows how she does it.

One day Sally and Ria met online and they became instant friends. They had their ups and downs like every other friends but always managed to sticked back. Their friendship was kind of like glue, always stick together. Sally and Ria had been friends fro about five years and still they never met. By then Sally was way over 18 and had her license while Ria was turning 19. Sally invited Ria to go on a Road-trip across America and Ria was delighted to go. It would be the first time they’d see each other in person. The light meets the darkness, it would go down friendship history.

The plan was for Sally and Ria to meet up in Washington. They met up at a hotel and it was like meeting a stranger. They hung out, partied and talked the whole day out. Sally wanted to rent a red convertible but she needed to go to the bank first, Ria picked out the hottest, reddest convertible while Sally got the money from the bank. At that same time the bank was being robbed and the robber jumped into the convertible without noticing Ria in it.

Ria then became hostage to an idiot bank robber. Ria was held hostage for so many years that she and the bank robber fell in love, got married and had a family. Sally on the other hand had a nervous breakdown because she felt like it was all her fault and she was sure that Ria was dead. Ria on the other hand wondered if her friend was alive and okay. She badly wanted to call her but she couldn’t or she’d put her family in jeopardy.

It’s been almost 20 years since Ria and Sally last seen and talk to each other. In January, Ria attended a family reunion in Ohio. It just so happen s that Sally was also in Ohio, she was on a tour with her band which included her older sister, her boyfriend and her other best friend (not Ria). Coincidently they were both staying in the hotel, on the same floor only two doors away from each other.

Almost a week had passed and the two never crossed each other paths. The night Sally was leaving the hotel to continue her tour was the same night Ria was leaving. Everyone was packed up and waiting in the lobby. Ria’s youngest Sam, saw Sally’s dog and was playing with her. When Sally was leaving, she called for her dog Princess but she was nowhere to be found. Sam saw and took Princess to her owner, not knowing that his family just left the hotel.

After Sam got concert tickets and kisses from Sally, she asked him where his parents were. When he looked around and saw they weren’t there, he burst into tears. After Sam stopped crying he said his family was going home to Florida by plane. Sally took him to the airport right away.

It’s a good thing Sally was famous or she wouldn’t have found Sam’s family so easily. It was the first time in 20yrs that Ria and Sally even saw each other and they recognized each other with ease. Tears were on cheeks while the two friends hugged. After that they were closer than ever. They promised each other no matter what they’d be like glue and stick together!
