Wish It Away

I fell upon my knees
Wished it all away
Living is my disease
Too much to handle today

I laugh, and smile
Yet all the while
I hide that I'm dying
Ashamed when I'm crying

I wash my face
And cleanse my soul
Try to fill this empty space
Pretend that I'm whole

Looking back beyond this Time
Back beyond Meter and Rhyme
Beyond this temporary life
Beyond this meaningless strife

I find a place void of me
I find a place void of you
The place where I can see
That temporary is not true

Must I choose to stay and fight?
Fight through things that are not right?
Kill my heart to play the part,
Or, end it all and let it start?

Balance it out
Take and then give
Learn to live without
Have it all and truly live

Change the world with simple rule
With open eyes of dumbfound fool
With hands and hearts together as one
One planet, handed life by Sun
