what we refuse the eyes to see

seeing the images
faces and tears
the children everywhere
and a old beautiful place
with so many wonders left untold
destroy by mother nature
other people with their careless actions
thinking the problems can be ignore
push away forgotten about
till it over flows
but it can't
the earth and children are trying to tell us something
we can no longer ignore what and who we can destroying
their helpless, alone and dying
making choice as children
they should never have to make
facing more and more dangerous times as children
stop the killing, wars, crime, hate
and look past it all
see what we are destroying
the blood of the children and earth
are on everyone hands
if we could all stop listen, and look
for ways that are far more powerful and positive
then maybe the children would have
a clean and safe earth to live in
and new orleans find it
glory days again
