Was it Worth it?

The days grow long
The nights grow cold
And still you’re not at home!
Mom’s all alone
Your kids are grown

Didn’t you think of all the

Why did you have to choose this road?

Was it really worth it all?

The family you had

It took to come up with all your lies
Was it really worth the high
To steal from your kids and wife

When you first stepped out that door
Didn’t you remember all of us
Without any food
Alone and misused
But still you walked away
Was it really worth it?
Did it really give you
What you thought you needed?
If you could go back would you
Do the same?

You left us there in pain
You made us all ashamed
What’s it going to take
To forget all your mistakes
It’s hard not to be mad at you
You gave us a bad name

You could’ve been at home
With all of us
Shared some laughs with all of us
Made some memories with all of us
Spent some time with all of us!
But NO!
You left when we were sleeping

Where no one even knew your name!

To temporarily ease your childhood pains
But your past will never change
Live and let go
You should’ve tried to save this broken home!
