Until we Remember

I have wandered from place to place
Dreaming of a past
I’m not sure it existed.
While nights are no different to days, the future shows me
Lost memories
Each time I try to see
What is to come.

Finally, I have arrived to the shore
We left years ago,
At the same the place we promised
That horrible night
Our ways decided to go on
Different directions,

But I don’t see you.
Here are only the footprints
You left when you passed by.
And they are mixed
With the others who
Made the same promises
But forgot about it.

It makes me wonder
If it was I who forgot,
For I see my prints
Have not faded yet
And millions of promises hanging,
Forgotten, abandoned.
Just like ours.

But I’ll erase ours
From this place
Where it ended.

My promise will live
Until I find you again...
Until we remember
