Tony
You left yesterday
I watched you walk away
One foot in front of the other
Dragging along the pavement.
It doesn’t pain me to see you go
What really gets me is to know
That you had to leave like that
Them making you feel like you’ll never understand.
I had to hold my self back
From trying to attack
Those walking, dazed, breathing figures
Don’t let them make you feel that way.
To see the look on your face
Watching you steady pace
I felt your pain
That is no lie.
I bet you would never guess what I did that night
I couldn’t even stand the site
Picturing my self
From an outside form.
I cried for you
I cried for me
I cried for us
I cried for he
And I will
Cry for you
Cry for me
Cry for us
Cry for he
Until you come home….
I’ll be right where you left me….
On the pavement in the dead of darkness.
And maybe this time
We could hold hands and pull threw.
Understand me when I say,
I care for you, I truly do.
