Smiles paint the tears of all that are alive
As an abstract portrait of what is inside
Making cryptic images, misleading and deceiving
And hiding the truth within everyone

No-one’s ever truly happy
Everyone’s got something deep down inside

And it gets bottled up and sometimes the lid bursts
Some people just can’t take what’s going on around them
It’s like filling a bag with bricks
One day, everything is going to fall through
And everything is lost

The eyes do not lie
Is what they say
But the eyes can be covered

Darkness does reside
Inside, inside, inside…

I paint my fears while I’m alive
Through this sorry excuse for art
Making cryptic verses, full of darkness
Veiling the truth within it

I’m never truly happy
