The Flower

a petal falls from the flower
a sign of another life gone
the once beautiful picture
has now turned to sour

the flower droops and seems to cry
signaling a life so near death
accomplishments gone all wrong
when the flower now dies

it's a wonderful little rose
never did a single thing wrong
all it does is look beautiful
yet no more will it glow
