Sleep
I lie in my bed,
Looking at the wall,
That sick pink, Pepto-Bismol colored wall,
And suddenly I snap,
Tears lining my face,
Re-tracing marks that I’ve already made before,
And I curl up into a ball,
Shaking, wishing for the pain inside just to end,
I just wish that I could move on,
And that somehow, someday,
It won’t be my cries which put me to sleep.
