Silence

She comes home
Only to find herself alone
Total silence

She cries herself to sleep at night
Knowing her parent’s are in another fight
She wakes up to her their screams
Tears running down her face in quiet streams
“Stop” she yells into the silence

He’s gone now
Things are strange
Different, unfamiliar, weird
Totally silent
