From this current state
Nostalgia overwhelms my hate
Dust upon yesterday’s gate
Horrors loom from tomorrow’s fate
Sweet roses wilt now
A humble darkness I’ve found
Dying, I fall down
Depressed and confused
Feels like I’ve been cut in two
Crying, I eschew
A familiar darkness consumes me
Anything I do, I may well might
As soon I will drown in a black sea
A gaze through the surface will reveal the night
Another very familiar sight
Triumph unknown to this barren land
The age of strife as old as the sand
Daylight dims and yet the heat remains
No rain comes to wash away the stains
Just a bit hurt
The pain’s not much
But in your hand
My heart, you clutch…
Tightly! Tightly!
Push me away
Sweet roses wilt now
A humble darkness I’ve found
Dying, I fall down
Depressed and confused
Feels like I’ve been cut in two
Crying, I eschew
A familiar darkness consumes me
Anything I do, I may well might
As soon I will drown in a black sea
A gaze through the surface will reveal the night
Another very familiar sight
Back to the heart of a broken man
Bemused, with no wings left for flight
Both legs weak, unable to stand
Behind the pessimists beyond the land
Can peace be restored within my soul?
Could I ever be touched by salvation’s hand?
Collect my fragments, will they form to gold?
Does help matter to one who’s fallen so often?
Does the sun still shine through a buried coffin?
