Sad girl on the tube

She was on the tube
so she didn't have to smile
she could hide here
at least for a while

Just look straight ahead
don't catch any eye
not letting pain show
the smile was a lie

Hold back the tears
hold back the pain
blink back the tears
and smile again

The pain was deep
she just wanted to die
using corner of scarf
wipes corner of eye

Train gets more crowded
she is still looking down
she shifts her position
but still has a frown

I wonder what causes
such tears to flow
she gets off the train
So I'll never know
