No one needs me

you don't tell me anything
and I'm suppose to be your best friend?
you don't even talk to me
and that's not what hurts,
what hurts is that I can't help...
I guess I'm not good enough anymore?
actually, I think what hurts is
that I thought you needed me
but I guess you really don't
maybe that's what really hurts...
the feeling of not being needed?
maybe even, not ebing wanted?
If you don't need me...
then who will?

I used to be able to say my dog needs me,
but she doesn't anymore,
