Little Angel

When she came into the world they all smiled and said “how cute”
A little girl with sweet eyes and a smile to suit,
Her mom and daddy cared for her,
And loved her till death,
They smiled will every step their angel took,
They smiled with every single breath,
Her mommy taught her how to talk,
Her daddy how to ride,
They watched her grow and learn and play,
And their faces shone with pride,
But mommy and daddy were silly,
And they forgot to close the fence,
And this caused their little angel,
To become past tense,
When they couldn’t find her,
They though she was playing hide and go seek,
But when mommy went out to the pool,
The sight made her legs go weak,
There was their little angel,
Floating face ward down,
She had fallen into the pool,
And then she had drowned,
Mommy and daddy sobbed,
For their little angel was dead,
And though she tried,
Mommy could not get the image from her head,
Little angel is in heaven now,
Form earth she did depart,
But she will always have a place here on earth,
In her mommy and daddy’s heart.

Beautiful but so sad and so avoidable! By grandsons other grandma has an unfenced pool and he lives with his mom and her half of the time. We are so terrified that something tragic like this will happen to him. They say he will be fine because they have an alarm on the sliding door. Alarms only work if they are on, and the door is closed and locked, with no way for a child to unlock it. Even when they are outside with him, if someone isn't paying constant attention to him, without a fence, all it takes is that few seconds, and he to will be gone. Beautiful poem and a reminder for everyone with pools and small children in their homes, to be so careful!Smiley

My puppy that was 2 months old drowned in my pool. we had a fence he just crawed under...
I cryed for a long time and when i first looked out the window and saw i screamed and started having a noose bleed it was tragic..
