Listless Life

I've lost my will to live,
I've given up, I'm done.
Lost and alone, I've surrendered,
The battle has been won.

Cuts and bruises cover me,
Each telling their own tale.
Down my body they go,
Showing what it's like to fail.

I'm hurting and I'm bleeding,
Blood pools on the floor.
No one knows the pain,
Hiding behind this closed door.

You've left me here bleeding,
Now I'm all alone.
No one left to help me,
No one to carry me home.

As the pain engulfs me,
I'm left with one last thought.
I can't take any comfort,
In the pleasures I have sought.

Hiding out: it's second nature,
I'm shutting the world out.
Yet secretly I'm pleading,
For you to hear my shout.
