What am I leaving
when I’m done here?
When my time comes
Will the sins I’ve
made be forgotten?
Yes I know I’ve
never been perfect
but neither have
you.
Please don’t resent
Me because of the
Past I have left
behind.
I try to be some one
Else to keep you happy.
If I weren’t my self
what would be left behind.
everything would be
forgotten.
I can’t be who you are
I’m not who you want me
to be.
Why not be myself?
Don’t be afraid I’m
strong on my surface
But weak the rest
of the way thru.
I’m hoping my life
will have memories
of myself.
I’m not her…
miss perfect who
never makes any mistakes
stop pretending
I can’t be who you
want me to be.
