If Only.
Full of pain
And backed down by fears
I fall to the ground
And drown in tears
With no one around
No one to witness the lonely
I wish they could know
If only.
Stricken by hunger
A desperate need for affection
And severed by the mirror,
An honest plead for perfection
Pounded by headaches,
And cracked by the pressure
Wanting a new life
Something better, something fresher
Epitomized by my ways
Not by my feelings
And thriving to see something new
Not stare at empty ceilings
Out of words,
Hoarse from screams
How else do I explain
Life as it seems?
Death comes in numbness
Death comes in lonely
Life ends because I have to wonder
If only.
