There are angels all around us.
They help you get through it all.
The Gestapo came and took us, but my family will always be in my heart.
We arrive at a camp.
The face of every woman was a look of great horror.
Questions run through my mind.
How long have they been here?
Can I help them?
How long will I be here?
It’s only been a month, but I have seen a fate worse than death.
Where does evil like this come from?
I hunger, not only food, but also the feeling of being free.
I finally escape, but my family, I will never see again.
They will have to suffer the fate I almost did.
I have been free a while now, but I will never forget the vile looks on the Nazi’s faces when they knew we were being tortured.
I know now, that the only thing that kept me going was my angel.
And now I must pray for my family.
They are my angels now.
In memory of the Holocaust.
