Drinking And Driving
I went to the party Mom
But I didn't drink
All I had was a coke
I didn't care what the others would think
The party was over
Around 9 or 10
I went to the drive way
Unaware of the dangers I was in
I got in my car
And just turned around
That's when it hit me
My whole world went upside down
I felt a strange warmth
Run down my side
I soon realized it was blood
And that it was all mine
I heard some men talking
They didn't think I'd survive
They said his blood alcohol level
Was .25
Maybe if he had a Mother
That cared like you do
Then maybe just maybe
I'd still be there with you
Oh Mom please don't cry
I'll always be there with you
Because I know in my heart
You would of been there for me to
