Beaufort

Ghostly grey, a deafening blur
Present spirit, absent form
Beauty remains
Offering soothing comfort
A last minute goodbye
A whir of movement
A silent gallop
A never ending memory
Gentle movements, cautious gait
Caring nature truthful steps
Young heart so strong
Forever gone
Forever missed
Always remembered
Ghostly grey, a soothing sight
A much missed sigh
Beauty always adored
Elegant stride, flowing steps
Here for a time
Ends in an instant
Gone for an eternity

Just to clarify, I wrote this after the sudden death of a much loved horse. I was barely able to talk in coherent sentences but needed to release emotion some how!
