Backup

You told me i was your best friend.
You told me you would be here till the very end.
Like I've always been for you when you cried about how she treated you.

Then you made your decision, that I suck and that she would always be better.
So now I get to sit and wait for you to cry, come crawling back with those same tears in your eyes.
I guess thats what friends are for, but then what does that make you?
You certainly arent a friend to me are you?
Apparently not cuz I'm never gonna hear the truth.
That you only need me every single time she hurts you.

I'll always be the backup, no matter how much ive shown worthy of trust.
It'll always be the same, you'll always love her no matter what.

So now I guess I'll just stand aside and watch.
Watch her break your heart.
