While Daydreaming

Thoughts of you play over in my mind like a movie
As I sit relaxing
I can hear your voice gently rewinding
You’re whispering “I Love You”
I smile…
My heart thumps like a drum being beaten in full rhythm
I close my eyes slowly as if being sure to capture the scenery playing in the back of my mind
The feeling…
I can’t explain, but it is like my eyelids run like a clock
Every blink, every batter tocks
When my eyes are finally closed I see you and I see me
I see us together…
We kiss as if we are on a time limit and will be torn away from each other
Torn like the heart of a child in the middle of divorce
Contemplating on whether to stay with the mother and betray the father or vice versa
Then we are caught in the moment like an insect on a spider’s web
Only we want to be part of each other
Then, just like that I am brought back
Back to a place I dreaded to be
Reality…
Still the thoughts of me loving you
You loving me
Stay fresh in my long term memory….
