You're one of my best friends
Yet, you don't know everything
So what would you say if I told you
Everything I've always wanted to?

How my heart aches
When you tell me all the pains
And the hurts that you're holding in?

What would you say if you knew
How I cry for you in the desperate times
When you're mad at the world
And you'd love to beat some kid up?

What would you say
To all the tears I've shed over you
In the past year or so
I've often wondered

I've wondered whether
You would even care?
Or if it would tear you up inside
Because you can't stand the thought of hurting me
