Understand

A blank face, showing only lips which never speak,
Behind which a thousand words form,
Never to fall off for ears to hear,
For far past gone is this mind.

Simplicity allows one laugh from this mouth,
Because ridiculous are the thoughts of those around,
Miniscule issues make the front page,
But, they don’t understand real rage.

It seems a color defines who you,
And black spreads across this child,
Both inside and out,
Leaving them defenseless against this harsh world.

Do others dare to understand how it feels to be that low inside?
Do they know what it’s like to have that black fill you?
Do they understand what it makes you do?
Do they understand life as it really is?

Dark found so peaceful,
Only because it is a silence which can never be broken,
And the rain, pouring softly against the hopeless body of this lost person,
But even drenches, they wish it would wash away their depression.

Moons luminescence caresses the darkened soul,
Leaving paths of sparkling hope,
As grass dances with the leading wind,
Making waves around the unmoving feet.

Do they understand the way these things feel?
Do people feel that each new day is one to cry over?
Do they feel the need to debate life or death?
Do they find every moment another fight?

Walking through the hall,
A lost, hopeless, unmoving child,
Wondering do they see?
Does anyone understand me?

This is amazing, Elizajh. Your GOOD. I have a lot of the same opinions. But you did a wonderful job of putting it into words. So deep, so true. And Im sorry.
