TWILIGHT ZONE

I went to the bank and deposited some money,
My twenty dollar bill asked me,
"Why am I so important to people? I really don’t have a clue"
Outside a cigarette in a mans mouth said desperately,
"Don’t smoke me no more; you’re going to kill me and you!"
On my way to the mall a tree told me in a sad voice
"They took a chainsaw and killed my cousin"
A dog on a leash held by a man whispered,
"My master beats me, please stop him"
Pop cans on the side walk were asking,
"Why am I not in the garbage can with the rest of my friends?"
In the parking lot I overheard vehicles speaking the truth,
With its hood flapping one of the cars said,
"People should concentrate on making more of us that don’t pollute"
But some of the other cars disagreed or didn’t care
In the mall models in advertisements were telling women,
"You'll never look like me or have my hair"
As I passed by a toy store,
I noticed toy soldiers were fighting over oil,
Each of the soldiers said “My country needs more”
I left the mall with a couple of clothes,
One of my T-shirts asked me curiously,
“Do you only wear me because at school you think it will gain you popularity?”
When I arrived at my house I turned on the TV,
The news reporter said,
“Weapons are walking around capturing and shooting terrorists dead”
...I woke up,
Opened my eyes and scratched my head,
My TV was still on and I hear the news reporter say,
“Terrorists are walking around capturing and shooting people dead”
