This Disease

This disease may take away
My future years
Make my body pay

But this disease won’t take from me
My faith or love
It will just set me free

So much that I couldn’t do
So many people
I never knew

But this disease cannot take the now
Can’t take my soul
That I won’t allow

This disease may hurt so much
But when I’m in heaven
I’ll still remember your touch

So do not cry for this disease
My spirit will always be here
Don’t be hurt please

Don’t let this sickness ruin the last moments of life
Don’t let it be
Like a striking knife

Embrace these last months, let’s do it all
Embrace the last days
Before the fall

This disease may not be fair
It has taken my life
But you don’t need to stay hurt in despair

When my bodies gone, I will remain
To hold your hand
Take away your pain

So please don’t cry for this disease
It takes away my life not my soul
Which is with you always, your heart will see
