Lonesome men with telescopes purview planets hung in solace
Rotating like insects inane and fascinated by vivid light
But a lucky man with a telescope viewed a planet new and novel
Thrown from it's place by fate, it's cursed to orbit in reverse
At first he was ecstatic, a breath of fresh air at long last
He was so sick of the repetition that he found through his lens
Yet the more he seemed to watch it as it nested in his thoughts
This new direction was insignificant, for the mean was still the same
To this reveal the stars lost their appeal, infinity is not what it seems
If you keep a keen eye on the chaos, in time you will find routine
Keep your head in space
Your planet found inside
Unparalleled in a void
Until the date we collide
Virginity broken by touch
Sending us farther abound
What was once a solution
Keeps us off the ground
Nesting our bodies airtight
Psyches a universe away
Distance is irrelevant
We can never delete the space
Companionship unfounded
Deities created to cure
Prayer is an illusion
Nothing's ever pure
Lonesome couple once held a table, to support their fragile vase
Neither one committed to another, but they both loved the flowers scent
Then one day one began to question that his burden only led to pain
As her attention resided elsewhere the platform began to lose it's bear
Spiderwebs fractured throughout the vase as it shattered to the floor
Once a treasure returned to dirt they could only blame one another
Their brilliant art ruined by a distance created to keep them apart
Unable to separate from their efforts they mended it to restart
One day the glue will dissolve leaving a trail of dying flowers
But until that day they continue their memories for future nostalgia
