Okay, I'm leaving

You know, I find myself saying this quite a bit to people on this site:
If you're going to leave because one person said something you didn't like, then this site and the friends you have on it can't mean that much to you.
You're going to have to realize that if you post things online for everyone to see, you're not always going to get comments you like. It's just how life is.

When you chose to write about a subject such as suicide, you can expect to receive heated comments from all directions. People have definite opinions on that subject. And they can not be moved to change their minds...nor should they.
I believe, to feel sorry for people that say these things and express it to them, is a form of enabling. And that creates more problems.
Sometimes you just have to suck it up and be strong.

Why should she have to suck it up? Honestly, it seems more like a desent call to attention. People shouldn't have to put up with crap from others, especially on such things as poems which hold so much emotion behind them. If you don't have anyhting nice to say, keep your freaking mouth shut. It's just basic human kindness, and from the lack of it on this site, it lost one of it's best poets. Hope your proud.

Wow, silentwords, your just a complete asshole. She was and still is, she had many popular poems and a huge fan base. (fan base not creating the popular poems but growing a a result). Thats just a personal attack on her writting, which is completly uncalled for.

Yes, one person. She left because of a comment BreeBree left on a suicide poem she wrote. I know this because Gothic wrote a response then deleted it before she left the site. I never commented on her poem, so it's certainly not my fault she threw a tantrum and left.

She may not take my opinion seriousy, but she did take someone's opinion seriously. She left the site, after all.

If people don't want a response on their poem, they shouldn't post it online for the world to see. Especially not on a site that is all about posting poems and responding to them. I've had my fair share of horrible things said to me on my poems. I never left. You know why? Because I'm not going to let people I don't even know affect my writing. I like to write. (I'm bad at it, but I like it. So I'm going to fucking keep at it.)

That's hilarious, coming from someone who just told Silent (One of the REAL poets on this site) that's she's "a complete asshole". How 'bout you shut the fuck up? 'Cause I can tell you that wasn't very nice. Besides, I don't find what I said to Gothic mean at all. I told her the truth. If she was going to just give up writing because of one comment, then writing could not have meant that much to her.

This is not a poem. This is a message she left for everyone to read saying she was leaving the site. If you will read my first comment, I told her that if she really enjoys writing poetry, she should continue it, and not let one random person ruin it for her. She left. It wasn't my fault. I had nothing to do with her leaving. You're 'attacking' me for something I never did.


By the way, she may have had a huge fan base, but it doesn't mean she was an excellent poet. Most of the people on this site don't understand what good poetry is. Just because something rhymes doesn't mean it's a good poem.

She hasn't even left, she was on today.
