Mourning Sorrow
Depression,
sadness,
emotions of sorrow,
and hate.
I'm mourning you now,
what a cruel twist of fate.
You've been stabbed with kindness,
and tortured with love,
care twisted the blade,
while she watched from above,
happiness whipped you,
with a lash made from bliss,
poor sadness was killed,
throat slit by a kiss.
Sorrow endured,
longest of all,
twisting my trust,
not allowing the past to dissolve,
valiant effort it made,
but in the end, to love it did fall.
Devoid of these emotions,
all I am is happy,
no sense sadness,
I'm left with nothing but glee,
makes it hard to be violent,
or create poetry,
so I write now in mourning,
of the sorrow in me.
Dedicated of course to my fiancee' Jaymee, who's entirely responsible for all of this.
