I'm still learning

I'm still learning
after all these years
lessons through trials
lessons through fears
I've been misguided
learned the hard way
that there is nothing
true and pure any day
I'm still learning lessons
through hardship and strife
but through it all
It's improved my life
when I was young
I was stubborn and rebelled
I fought like a soldier
but still I failed
It wasn't because I was weak
but I couldn't see straight
I had to give up my will
and let god take over my fate
I'm still learning lessons
I don't quite understand
I don't know the purpose
so I leave it in gods hands.
