I'm Not Alone

I was told that someone watched over me.
It is present
Yet, I do not see it.
I do not feel it, nor do I feel it with me.
I seem to ask myself who that shadow walking behind me is.
Does it help me through my endless pain?
Or does it laugh at me and watch me fall.
In troubled times I seek for help.
I hear no whisper.
When tears plummet down my face
It is I who would wash them away
I bathe in my sorrows
As I drag them wherever i go
I sleep thinking the void in my chest will never be filled
And wake up numb
I try not to ponder in the past
But dwell on what the future may hold
i was told that someone was watching over me
So i go out and walk the streets alone
My head clouds up with questions
I’m waiting to unfold.
I’ve longed for the truth my whole life
But i already know the truth.
Somebody was watching over me
She watches me cry
Watches me sleep in pain
Watches me bathe in my sorrows
Watches me fall
And pushes me to get back up again.
She may not say anything
But she can describe more than words could ever describe
She’s my angel.
