Holocaust Horrors

Normal lives stopped
In place
Disrupted by inhuman faces,
Rumors travel
Ear to ear
On what really is
Happening here,
Oh how I hope they are lies…

Daddy says to
Pack,
That not much time
Is left,
Horror…death..
It’s following,
In the air,
With the Nazi sirens that
Blare

Quickly, Swiftly,
In deathly dark,
We travel to the
Safest place to be,
Hiding from whats
Taking over the use to be

Friends, families
Left behind,
All trying to find
Some place to hide
Tell me how,
HOW?
How could this be happening?
Happening to me…my family…?

In hiding we are safe,
But only for now…
We hide from creaks,
Cracks,
Our food sometimes stolen by rats..

Life is unbearable,
Unbelievable, Could this be real?

Is this the trueness of reality?

Oh how could this be happening?
God, dearest, save us!

Two months pass..
The war never ending,
Then finally,
Once again
My life turns for
The worst

Bang! Bang!
The door busts down
While our yellow stars
Shine proud

Pushed, shoved,
Oh how I thought THIS was bad!

Oh how could this be happening?
God, dearest, save us!

Rushed to cattle cars,
We huddle close,
Not only for fearing our lives,
But for leaving all we have behind,
This was all we had left..
Our family,
Who would soon be torn apart

Separated,
Stripped,
Treated worse than animals!

Was the world losing all of its humanity?
How could it allow such cruelty,
Brutality,
TORTURE!

Oh how could this be happening?
God, dearest, save us!

Cries are shushed by the
Dead smell of the air
Death is here,

Why keep us alive any longer..?

Morals lost,
Time has no meaning,
Then finally,

The day has come..

Death is here,
Death is now,

Oh how could this be happening?
God, dearest, save us!

..but it is too late.

We’re gone
