Going

the wind pushes against me
as i walk through this life
unburdoned by the weight
of protection through my strife.

i'll continue along the sidewalk,
as thunder strikes the ground
nothing seems to matter,
because i'm lost until i'm found.

others my pass me
but my hood stays down
i can't hide anymore
and there's no sense in leaving town.

of course they won't notice,
the puddle of tears in my eyes
like the rain that falls down
they're as deep as the skies.

and every wrong turn i take
no one will care
because as far as they know,
i'm going somewhere.
