Fate of Lies

Oh snap! You're stuck.
Cornered with a question.
Do you test your luck?
Or should you run in?
Run in to shelter and safety,
Such a cozy place to be.
Though you know it's not right
Down that easy road you went
To hide the truth out of sight
Thinking only of the present.
But it led you further than you could imagine,
Farther than you ever wished to go.
And showed you what will always win,
It led you back down the right road.
Looks and lies are deceiving.
You think they work but they're misleading,
Leading you to what you wanted to escape
But the truth always comes out, it's fate.

Yep...you can run from the truth all you want...but it will always catch up to you.
