Farewell Old Memories

I spend these hours shredding you to strips,
and tearing or crumpling you with my hands.
You were the passions of my past,
and flames that once lit up my heart.
Farewell to thee,
tidbits of olden times which I now lay to rest.

I love the imagery of laying memories to rest as if you are discarding paper.

and tearing or crumpling you with my hands.
Great word choice Smiley
