Burning image

I saw god yesterday
You should have seen it
The whole mountain top was aflame
The sky was orange
Smoke miles high
Thick with regret
And I knew

I knew it was him
And he told me that beauty
Holds no mercy

1. I have voted as instructed (I usually forget to vote)

2. Please advise grunty this is a metaphor or he will argue it is proof positive of the existence of god.

3. I agree - it is a fab poem (I'm trying new adjectives - how am I going?)

4. You wait all your life for god to manifest and that's all he had to say? Come on there must have been more. Who is going to win the NRL final thsi weekend?

or perhaps you meant like a "simple god" like the Roman, Greek gods...
Comment by PerpetualLover: Sep 28, 2009 3:57 pm
nice poem, but aren't you suppose to write God in a capital letter G.
Comment by grunty: Sep 28, 2009 3:47 pm
Grunty isn't looking for proof Tele....he feels it in his heart.

Truly, it is better for all that Grunty believes. Because if he ever stops believing, it's curtains, curtains I say!
