Once in a life time a girl falls for a guy right
sometimes it doesnt go well fight after fight
they make up and break up tear after tear
they been together for so long why stop here
she gets pregnant he leaves her all on her own
thru the strenght and struggles a strong girl shown
she met a new guy and he willing to be with her
raising a kid that aint his showing he's for sure
been goin steady for a while now they plan to marry
falling in love all over again getting kinda scary

everyone been sayin she young and foolish
but yall she aint too young to do this
they cant take her away from him
not the one helping her love again
everyone sayin she gonna get herself hurt
but yall the chances she takes are full of worth
they cant take her away from the world
not the things helping her raise her lil girl
everyone sayin she just cant be ready
but yall it has been 3 yrs and steady

the girl is happy more than she has ever been
dont put her down and tell her she cant love again
So why can't you people just leave her alone
with a daughter of 8 now she's already grown
grown enough to make her own choices now
the boy has helped her from being down
if love has come by the second time and she's still here
let her be happy and face her own fear
Is it you think you know more than they can
If he loves her, and she loves him, then why trouble them

tears in their eyes, but the time is now
they tell her he's not her father at birth
but he was the guy who held her first

you raised me since i was a little girl
we may not be blood but you are my daddy
you helped mommy since the day she had me
i love you dad with all of my heart dont forget it
cuz my feelings for you wont change, not a bit
