As I look through this rain covered window
At the storm raging in the sky
Softly in my head
My true love's voice tells me goodbye

This morning we talked for hours
As the tears streamed down my face
A fight, a disagreement, a misunderstanding
If only that was the case

For our love for each other is strong
And each day continues to grow
Forbidden from being together
For reasons we both know

Each day when there is beauty
Created by the setting sun
Our thoughts will be of each other
And our hearts will become one

As I watch the rain continue to fall
And long for my best friend
