The Sound of Your Name

I sing about
All my fame
But all I want to hear
Is the sound of your name
Speak it softly
Let it drift on the wind
Falling for you
Was my greatest sin

All I want to hear
Is the sound of your name
Speak it loud
Shout it out
It never sounds the same

I sing about
All my fame
But all I want to hear
Is the sound of your name
I know it's true
That nothing's ever gonna be the same
I have to sing this song
Just to drown out the shame

So I wake up
And sing away all the pain
I sing it loud
Along with the cold, cold rain
The rain...

I could sit here
And sing about all my fame
But all I want to hear
Is the sound of your name
I'll speak it loud
Shout it out
It never sounds the same

All I want to hear
Is the sound of your name
Just your name

So I'll walk up to your grave
And all I'll whisper
Is the sound of your name

Really great. I love the last three lines. It's really bittersweet.
