The Sound of it All

Tonight he foretold our future. Each syllable pronounced so genuinely ,so carefully, as to turn our contingent hopes into a hymn of confident possibility. The lull of the L as it rolls off his tongue and drifts to my ear, tenderly caressing my soul, begins to craft this mystifying word. The deep vibrations of the O seem to originate from a profound dwelling, possibly passing through the valves, being impelled through the pulmonary veins and driven out by some strange and unstoppable force. The reverberation of the V, as sharp and lucid as the blade that ran through Juliet’s heart, lacks not a single facet of truth. The emphasis of the E, long and foretelling, stirs my impulse of fear into assurance and true devotion. This promise he devoiced to me and I to him, with nurture, could echo throughout the halls of our lives and ring in the ears of envious eavesdroppers. This symphony that may only be composed by two, oh what a beautiful harmony it has.
