Teddy Bear

You come with dilemas, asking what to do,
At a loss for an answer, for I love you.
Amorous for who you were, unsure who you are,
To me you were once a decadent shining star.
You brought your question and made me wonder,
I'm left trying to get out from under,
The weight of the feelings I clasp,
I long to have you in my grasp.
To hold you and keep you for my own,
Together we will not be alone.
So impatient, so uncertain what to say,
How can I face things that happen this way?
Perhaps this will work in my favor,
Perhaps you can be my saviour.
I only hope for happiness,
In my arms you wil find some rest.
Your beauty is indescribible,
My love for you undeniable.
I want to reclaim my teddy bear,
To remember the smell of your hair.
To lay holding you close to my chest,
I will end feeling naught but blest.
How am I to express this?
Without you my life's amiss.
I spent years looking to replace you,
Trying to create this heart anew.
Nowhere was found a bear to replace,
My teddy with the sweet angel's face.
So now you're back, asking me to say no,
How can I do that and watch you go?
I never stopped loving you and I never will,
Noone else your place in my heart can fill.
Lets try this and make it work again,
The stakes are high, we have to win.
If we do this together we cannot fail,
Compared to our love all others look pale.
